Toxicological characterisation of nano- materials for the diagnostic imaging in medicine
The NanoMed project intends to develop methods for characterisation and assessment of internal stresses on humans applying innovative nanoparticles with excellent imaging properties for computer tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance tomography (MRT). The hazards of these methods are evaluated and innovative test models are developed for detection of the nanoparticles in cells in the laboratory and in animals.
