Nanoporous ceramic membranes for use in sustainable closed-cycle water- and solvent-saving methods

NanoMembrane is aimed at developing novel ceramic membranes for use in filtration plants that are directly integrated in the production process. Nanofiltration is an environmentally friendly separation method that does not require using additional chemicals. Its closed water and solvent cycles and recovery of recyclable fractions during production processes are of major ecological and economic importance, mainly in the chemical, textile, paper and metal industries where solvents or water are used intensively.
