Particle Safety Laboratory

One aim of the INOS project was the establishment of a virtual centre for the identification and evaluation of health and environmental impacts of engineered nanoparticles. The task of this “INOS particle safety laboratories and consulting” is to offer different services for producers of nanoparticles, helping them to evaluate potential health and environmental impacts of their products before large volumes are produced and used. This risk analysis accompanying the development may also allow the producers to change particle properties in order to minimize potential toxic effects. For this, the INOS partners Fraunhofer IKTS, UFZ and MBZ (TU Dresden) have joined. Further information (in german) via our flyer or our homepage.
