Nanosilver particles

Mechanisms of action and investigation of their possible interaction with tissues, cells and molecules. Definition of their relevant potential for intolerance

The project Nanosilver particles intends to develop methods allowing discerning of silver and dissolved silver in different nanosilver-containing medical material systems. For allocation of effects, three different model systems e.g., prostheses containing different quantities of nanosilver, are developed, the release of the silver particles is tested, and hazards for humans are investigated.
